When would I choose IndicJoomla! over the Hindi/Language pack? |

If you already have a Joomla! install and your website working, you want just the language pack. Just put the language files in your <joomla_home>\languages folder, go to your backend administrator and change the language to Hindi/Devanagari and your website is now Indic. To make the Days and Months show up in Indic, please read the other FAQ. |

How can I customose my Joomla! (not IndicJoomla!) install to show Indic Days and Months? |

Days and Months are published for each articles. The information is stored in the database. Unfortunately, I have not yet found a way to dynamically change it in the database. I guess that will be something that should be handled at operating system level. But with But making it further technical, Days and Months can be made regional in "joomla.php" file. |

The main difference between the Joomla! and IndicJoomla! distribution is that Joomla! distribution defaults to English language and IndicJoomla! defaults to Hindi/Devanagari langage. |
